SENIOR PASTOR
Dale Freeman
Pastor Dale Freeman trusted Christ as his Savior in October 1980 at the age of 19, along with his girlfriend at the time and now wife, Sharon. Both were raised in Greenville, South Carolina.
In 1981, Pastor Freeman answered God’s call to preach and began studying at Tabernacle Baptist College. For more than 40 years, the Lord has given him many opportunities to preach in churches, conferences, and Baptist colleges of like faith.
He became the Senior Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church in the summer of 2006. Pastor Freeman is an expository preacher who is passionate about teaching God’s Word and encouraging believers to use their gifts to serve the Lord.
Pastor Dale and Sharon (Reeves) were married on August 8, 1981, and moved their family to Virginia in 1999. They have four married children—Meredith Oliver, Michael, Marcus, and Mariah Keys—and many grandchildren.
Pastor Freeman enjoys reading, sports, Mrs. Sharon’s southern cooking, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and the South Carolina Gamecocks. He especially loves spending time with his family, many of whom serve alongside him at Fellowship Baptist Church.
ASSISTANT PASTOR
BJ Short
Pastor BJ Short trusted Christ as his Saviour in August of 1986. After graduating from high school in his hometown in Virginia, he attended Bible college, where he met his wife, Betty (Molina).
After graduating from college in 2002, Pastor BJ returned to Virginia and married Betty in 2004. He has served as an Assistant Pastor at Fellowship Baptist Church since May of 2007.
Pastor BJ and Mrs. Betty have three wonderful daughters and faithfully serve together at FBC in many areas of ministry, including Sunday School and music. Pastor BJ is known for his compassion, his love for his family, and his dedication to serving the Lord and the people of FBC.
ASSISTANT PASTOR
David Oliver
Pastor David Oliver was born and raised in Virginia and got saved in October of 2005 at the age of 24. Since then, he has faithfully served the Lord in every opportunity God has given him.
In January of 2008, he married Meredith, the oldest daughter of Pastor Dale Freeman. One month later, he began serving as the Youth Pastor at Fellowship Baptist Church.
Pastor David and Mrs. Meredith have five children—four girls and one boy. In 2014, Pastor David became an Assistant Pastor at FBC and continues to serve with a passion for preaching and a deep burden to reach and disciple young people. His ministry has had a meaningful impact on many families and teenagers in the community.
ASSISTANT PASTOR
Brandon Freeman
Pastor Brandon Freeman was saved in September of 1996 under the ministry of Pastor Dale Freeman in Greenville, South Carolina. Pastor Brandon is Pastor Freeman’s nephew and was part of the youth group during those years.
After marrying his wife, Jennifer (Childs), and starting their family, they relocated to Virginia with their three children to serve at Fellowship Baptist Church.
Pastor Brandon and Mrs. Jennifer faithfully serve in many areas of ministry at FBC, including the music and youth ministries. Pastor Brandon became an Assistant Pastor in the summer of 2014 and was appointed Administrator of Fellowship Baptist Academy in 2021.
